Monaco Hickey Group Pty Ltd requires safety to be regarded as a pre-requisite of all Company operations and to be so demonstrated at all times. Management at all levels within the Company are responsible and accountable for safety which shall be developed and maintained through close attention to design, methods, materials and equipment, and by the motivation and training of people so that all employees do their utmost to follow safe work practices.
Expanding this summary, it is Company policy to:
- Make safety an essential and integral part of management accountability.
- Provide experienced Company safety resources to monitor safety procedures, performance and attitudes.
- Ensure that every employee and sub-contractor accepts safety as an individual responsibility and a pre-requisite in the planning and carrying out of all activities.
- Determine specific safety performance targets for all appropriate managers as part of the overall performance evaluation and review programme.
- Carry our appropriate education and training in safety as a integral part of the Company/s technical training programme.
Putting the Policy into action requires:
- That the highest Company official appointed on site accepts full authority and responsibility for all matters of human safety and welfare on his project.
- That safety awareness is promoted on every project to all levels of employees in the interests of both the employees and the Company.
- That every possible effort is made to prevent the occurrence of accidents, injuries and unsafe work methods, with specific emphasis on method design and planning.
- That accident prevention and promotion of safe working conditions will be an on-going management accountability monitored by the Company's Project and Site Managers.
- That the Directors, Project Managers, and Site Managers provide monitoring, guidance and policy implementation in all aspects of Company safety.
