Established in 1994 by Joe Monaco and Patrick Hickey, Monaco Hickey has been extremely successful in the delivery of highly technical, complex projects with a particular focus on the health care, research, manufacturing and pharmaceutical production sectors of the building industry and specifically in clean room pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, laboratories and hospital environments.
Through its ability to consistently deliver high quality outcomes on challenging projects, Monaco Hickey enjoys long standing relationships with its key clients and has expanded its operations into the university and institutional sectors and now enjoys a broader exposure to general commercial construction work where it continues to reinforce its reputation as a builder of choice.
In 2010, the Probuild group became a major shareholder of Monaco Hickey providing significant resources and balance sheet strength to support its future growth. Under this alliance Monaco Hickey has grown its turnover to $60m nationally and in partnership with Probuild, was awarded the $120m Monash New Horizons project for Monash University and CSIRO which commenced in January 2011.
Directors Joe Monaco, Pat Hickey, Ted Yencken and Simon Gray, and State Manager, NSW, Simon Roberts are hands on, experienced construction professionals who are well regarded for their ability to deliver significant projects in a manner that exceeds the expectations of their clients.
With established operations in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, Monaco Hickey has undertaken projects throughout Australia in both metropolitan and regional areas and successfully partnered with a number of clients on multiple projects. Such repeat business is testimony to Monaco Hickey's delivery capabilities and resolve.
